Once, a wedding ceremony was held for the son of King Satnamsinhji in the village of Narecha, located approximately half a mile from Chhapiya. Shri Bal Ghanshyam also went to witness the royal celebration along with His elder brother, Rampratap Bhai, and His childhood companions.
The king’s people were celebrating the occasion with great joy and enthusiasm. In the midst of the thousands of people gathered for the celebration, a gun belonging to one of the king’s soldiers accidentally went off. Two people in the crowd were killed instantly.
King Satnamsinhji was deeply saddened by this unfortunate incident that had occurred during an auspicious occasion. Shri Ghanshyam Maharaj then stood upon a stone and called the two deceased men by their names.
As soon as He called them, both men came back to life and stood up. At this sacred place, Shri Ghanshyam Maharaj preserved the honour of the king and granted liberation to both men.
Therefore, this place came to be known as Kalyan Sagar.
A marble platform bearing the divine lotus footprints of Shri Hari has been constructed on the bank of Kalyan Sagar Lake. Adi Acharya Shri Ayodhyaprasadji Maharaj also installed an idol of Shri Hanumanji here.
