Makhoda Ghat is located approximately ten miles from Chhapiya. Once, a temple of a Vairagi was being constructed at this ghat. While excavation work was being carried out for the foundation of the temple, a huge ancient cannon dating back to the time of King Dasharatha was discovered buried in the ground.
The men of the King of Ayodhya came to take the cannon. Since the cannon was extremely heavy, around fifty men tried with great effort to load it onto a cart, but they were unable to lift it.
Seeing this, Shri Hari effortlessly lifted the enormous cannon and placed it onto the cart with just one hand.
This ghat is situated on the bank of the sacred Manorama River. Every year, a large fair is held at this place on the full moon day of the month of Chaitra.
Therefore, this ghat is considered a sacred place associated with the divine prasadi of Shri Hari.
